Ahava started off as a Content Marketer in 1999 when those days content strategy was becoming a mainstream. Companies were struggling in how to manage all of the content that they want to publish over the internet.
She thought to help companies to make them understand how the messaging should be.
So she started Cold Calling companies, once for 3 weeks for 4 months. In that way she acted as not only the content marketer but also a cold calling expert.
To her, it’s all about being persistent and passionate about the subject matter in which you’re really interested. Content strategy to her is an idea about the art to grasp that what there really is in the outside world. So people started responding to her blogging and leadership.
Her viewpoint is that persistence comes from understanding. She explains 2 advantages of Cold calling i.e. i, uncertainty of what you might get and ii, exchange of information. She thinks that when someone has a mindset around the fact that someone might be a customer one day and maybe not the other day, it helps reduce the pressure.
Ahava thinks that Content Marketing is providing conversations in the market that are value to potential customers. So when customers have the decision about buying they come to you first.
So by having the Content Marketing Plan, companies need to understand what is messaging and when do you need that messaging. Sometimes companies produce too much that isn’t interest to their audience. They don’t send the time to think about what people really need.
A lot of companies assume that people want certain type of info but in reality they don’t. And then companies try to give away info to people which they don’t really need. So that’s the reason that she believes in cold calling, because in that way you can come to know what their thinking is about and what are their needs.
Success to Ahava is being comfortable of who you are. Listen to this interview to get to know more about her content marketing strategy and cold calling techniques.
