We talk about the book “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown
He talks about how he changed his life. It helped him to measure and prioritize what he wants to do. It definitely changed him. He makes a similarity with the Power Rangers.
He’s always wanted to see his book on the bookshelves with his kids; that is why he has an objective of publishing a book with a major publisher. Pat admits that he struggles with writing books; he has that resistance he needs to work through.
Pat talks about the 1-Day Business Breakthrough, his new podcast with Chris Ducker.

Words of wisdom from Pat:
You need to take action. No success will come your way if you don’t do anything about it. If you read, listen to podcasts, listen to trainings, but never do anything about what you learn, nothing will happen to you! For Pat, his trigger was when he got laid off. He took action, he took bigger risks. He put his all in.
Hurdles will happen. Failing is a part of the process. We live in a society where we think that feeling is bad, but we should celebrate when we fail, because we know what not to do!
If you keep falling forward, you will get to the finish line.
It’s important to be out there. Networking. Talking to your audience. Get out of your computer chair! You might meet someone really important.
Pat talks also about the key to get a tribe of raving fans.
He advises do make connections, start small, but you can slowly connect. Don’t forget that people connect with people.
Give people experiences, surprises that are beyond what they expect.
Pat’s definition of success:
Time. Having flexibility.
